Apple Festival in Lights”

(Old Hollywood Style)

As with many parades, an early set-up and judging time is necessary to give time for the tally, as well as the passing out of trophies and banners. Set-up and check in will begin at 8:00 AM and judging will begin at 10:00 AM sharp! You must be in line and set-up by 10:00 a.m. in order to be judged. Bands and marching units will be judged as they are passing the reviewing stand and need to be in line by 12:00 p.m.

A few rules governing parade entries are necessary to make our parade the quality parade it is noted for. Units must be in good taste for family viewing.

  • To keep the parade moving smoothly WITHOUT GAPS, units MUST NOT STOP to perform in front of the reviewing stand or any other place along the parade route.
  • Objects may NOT be thrown from any unit; however, things may be passed out along the way. You must provide two walkers if you are an award winner.
  • Fire trucks, please NO SIRENS during the parade as it frightens the little ones and distracts the bands.
  • Equestrian/Animal units are REQUIRED to provide “follow-up” personnel

The enclosed application must be submitted by September 8, 2023, to guarantee a spot in the parade. Applications received after September 8, 2023, are not guaranteed a spot in the parade; however, every effort will be made to fit your entry in at the end of the parade.
