REGISTRATION

Registration for the Miss & Jr. Miss Apple Festival pageant is now open!
Mandatory parent/contestant meeting at 6:00pm on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Apple House located on the Apple Festival grounds.
Pageant Date:  Saturday, September 19 at 6:00pm

To enter:

  • Complete the online Entry Form found below.  Entry fees must be paid in person at the mandatory parent meeting on July 10, 2026.  Complete and print the Biography form and return it no later than the first practice on July 12 

OR 

 

  • Print the Entry Form and return it via mail or email per the instructions on the form.  Additionally, print out the Biography form and complete and return it no later than the first practice on July 12.  Entry fee will be paid in person at the mandatory parent meeting on July 10, 2026.

Official Regulations (Please read carefully)

1. Entry forms must be submitted by July 3, 2026.

2. All contestants are required to pay a non-refundable (cash only please) entry fee of $30. Fee must be turned in at the July 10th meeting. There will be no exceptions.

3. All Jr. Miss Entrants must be at least 13 years old, but no older than 15 years old by the contest date. All Miss Entrants must be 16 years old, but no older than 18 by the contest date.

4. Headshot photos will be taken at the practices. Please do not bring in your own photo. Each contestant must wear a solid dark color long sleeve shirt and stud earrings only.

5. All contestants must be of good reputation and must never have been married, pregnant or committed any illegal offenses.

6. All entrants must be residents of Niles Four Flags Area; Niles, Niles Township, Berrien Springs, Buchanan, Howard Township, or Brandywine OR attends one of the following school districts: Niles Community Schools, Edwardsburg Public Schools, Buchanan Community Schools, Berrien Springs Public Schools, Cassopolis, Dowagiac, or Brandywine.

7. For Miss Contestants who have graduated high school: You must be enrolled in college, and more than ½ of your credits need to be at a local college or university, within 30 miles of Niles. This is to ensure you will be able to fulfill all requirements if crowned.

8. A personal biography of the contestant will be turned in at the first practice. The biography is available on our website at www.fourflagsapplefestival.org. The information provided will be used for newspaper articles and during the pageant. The biography is required to be typed. Remember, this is the judge’s first impression of you.

9. If crowned in the Jr. Miss Apple Festival or Miss Apple Festival pageant, you will not be permitted to enter another pageant during your reign. If you do choose to enter another pageant, you must relinquish your crown and all prizes (including scholarships) immediately.

10. You will be required to provide your opening number outfit (dark denim pants with no holes and white sneakers and baseball jersey/shirt).

11. Jr. Miss Contestant’s formal attire must be a non-strapless, tea length-floor length dress with no slit. Shoes should have no more than a 2 ½ inch heel. Miss Contestant’s formal attire must be a floor length gown. Dress slits are not allowed to be higher than mid-thigh. No open back shoes will be permitted.

12. All contestants are allowed to miss two excused practices. The only acceptable excuses are; illness, vacation, or school related activities. There will be zero unexcused absences allowed. The judges will be notified of all unexcused practices, tardiness and punctuality of the return forms.

13. Pageant Practices will be held in the Apple Festival building on Sundays (Starting July 12) @ 4:00–5:30 PM. Dress Rehearsal will be held on September 18th at 5:00 PM. The pageant will be held on September 19th at 6:00 PM.

14. Cell phones will not be used during practices. Contestants may leave them at home or place them in a basket with a pageant committee member.

15. Contestants are required to bring both walking (heels) and opening number shoes to every practice. If the correct shoes are not present, the contestant will sit out for that portion of practice.
